Annecy lake, blue hour on Albigny beach
After some long rainy weeks, the sun is back for a few days and i spent a nice time friday afternoon to complete my collection about Annecy lake.

In the forest at dusk
I went yesterday for a scouting walk in some new places along the Usses river.
Points of view of the river itself were no really interesting but i found some nice scenes in the forest just near.

Franclens church illuminated at dusk
Yesterday, i spent a part of the afternoon exploring the Rhône valley between Ain and Haute-Savoie departments. I was lucky enough to be able to make a few images under a correct light between rain showers.
In the late dusk, i was driving back home and crossed Franclens village when i saw the church illuminated. I stopped for a few shots before the night became too dark.Friday 26 April 2013
Pain de Sucre waterfall on Vézéronce river
An image from yesterday while i was exploring Vézéronce river near Surjoux in Ain department.
This river is a small one with just a few kilometers long but goes to the Rhône which is one of the main rivers in France (it starts in Switzerland and finishes the mediterranean sea)
This waterfall is just a few hundreds meters far from the junction between the two rivers. Access is really short and easy and i guess it's a famous place for family walks.
I know there is at least one more fall above this one but i couldn't find any path through the cliffs. I asked to someone living just near. He answered that he wasn't sure about the path and that it should be dangerous.I think i need to have a closer look to my map.

A very soft dusk on Annecy lake
Another image from a few weeks ago, during this afternoon on Mont Baron over Annecy lake.
While the others were done with GND filters, this one is the result of a HDR work done with Picturenaut from 2 exposures.
It's free of any filtering artifact and i think it's my fav in the serie.

Dusk time in the mountains over Annecy lake
One more from friday, still done while walking down from Mont Baron.
During my long time waiting for a correct light i met a very nice couple and we had an interesting and pleasant discussion about photography and the joy of living in a so beautiful region. They were wiser than me and left the mountains before the night :)

Night comes on Annecy lake
Mont Veyrier and Mont Baron are two of the closest mountains above the east coast of Annecy lake.
Viewed from the city, they can look as the same mountain but when you climb them, you can really distinct the two summits.
I went there on friday afternoon. I spent the first hours hiking, looking for interesting points of view.
My most interesting images of the lake were done at dusk while walking down from Mont Baron. This one was the last one, done in really late dusk and after i had a "funny" walk in the steep and dark forest without the head lamp i forgot at home ...
In the background, you can see the mountains of Massif des Bauges.

Late evening on Annecy lake
I've just spent about one week in Haut Jura Natural Park to meet some nice friends. I just escaped one day for exploring a deep forest, after hours and hours of walking on little paths and climbing mountains, i went back at night without finding any good place for beautiful photography. Some days are like that ...
Yesterday i went back home for a little office work and in the evening i drove to Annecy for a few images around the lake. This one is the last i did and is also my own favourite.
Long exposure is due to the low light of the late evening and i balanced sky and lake with a 0.6 GND filter.

Last sunrays on Bargy mountain
Four days after my first visit to Massif des Bornes, we had one new and short window of correct weather. So i decided to come back and explore some of the mountains above Bronze river.
I drove to Solaison plateau and then hiked to Andey peak. It was a pleasant and easy walk with a very nice view from the top.
The image posted above was done at dusk while i was walking down to my car. Bargy mountain is the large and rocky one you can see on the left of the picture.

A cold time at Annecy lake
A reminder of the very cold 2012 winter we had here.
I stayed really late on that place this evening, waiting for a deep blue hour and i still remember the cold in my bones.

Paris, dusk light around Bassin de la Villette
One more from these few days in Paris about one month ago.
Bassin de la Villette is a large water area in Paris, built in 1808.
It's used by boats carrying peoples or goods and by tourists who love to have a walk or drink on the banks.

Winter dusk on Pointe Percee mountain
A winter reminder with this image from march.
Pointe Percée is the highest point of Aravis mountain range with an elevation of 2750 meters.
This image was done from a remote place with a long lens mounted on a APS-C camera. Light was very nice but i had to wait a long time for the wind to stop a little and get something sharp.
