Another place i discovered in Ardèche while driving back from Saint Pierreville.
Yesterday morning i returned to Arcine for some new images of Rhône river.
I spent the first hour of soft light with photos of the nice forest on the river banks and when the light became too strong, i stayed a little and played with the reflections on the water.
All my images of Rhône river ar here.
Loire river is the longest river in France. It runs during more than 1 000 kilometers from Ardèche department to Atlantic ocean.
Here, near the source it's still a little and wild river running through fields and forest.
Note : For more images and informations about Loire country in center France, you can have a look at Amboise Daily Photo which is one of the many blogs i check every day.
This little stream which ends to Valserine river doesn't always run in summer but as july is unusually rainy, this little waterfall was beautiful last week.

You can find all my posts about this river here and all my images here.
River Bienne comes from Jura mountains near Prémanon and joins river Tacon near Saint Claude. Just before the junction, it runs through the city which has many big or small bridges.
Hérisson waterfalls is the name of a famous french waterfalls range in Jura department (see more here).
I returned there a few days ago for the first time since my first visit in 2011 and i was glad to find a decent water level in the river and a kind freshness in the valley.
Grand Saut is not the most well known of all the waterfalls on the river (probably because one has to leave the main path) but i find the place really beautiful.
Note :
All my images about these waterfalls are here.
River Chéran running through the forest of Massif des Bauges Natural Park.

Albarine river runs through Ain department and just after Hauteville Lompnès jumps a cliff of more than 100 meters. It's Charabotte waterfall which is the highest in the department.
I went there two days ago for a first visit of the waterfall and the lower valley. All the images were posted yesterday on my website, you can have a look here.

One week ago i've published 16 images of this place on my french website. You can check them here.
Horse Tail waterfall, aka cascade de la Queue de Cheval is one of the highest in Haut Jura Natural Park and the image above only shows the lower part.
I went the for a first visit yesterday but i was a little disppointed because despite the big rains we had recently, water level was really low and the fall not impressive.
