Two more images from my most recent trip in La Plaine des Maures.
The first one (above) was done using a soft grad nd filter, the second is a hdr work from 4 exposures.
As usual local contrasts are more impressive in the hdr version but today i prefer the most natural one ...

Of this series, I like this one the best. The shape of the ledge in the foreground is interesting and really leads you further into the scene.
I was surprised to read in one of your earlier posts that landscape is not popular in France, given your long history of great landscape painters. But maybe that's the reason.. people prefer paintings to photographs?
