I don't have posted any image of Valserine valley for a long time.
I was reviewing photos on my website and noticed this one which was never published here although it's one of my fav done with my camera-shake method.

That's obviously the vertical version of an image i have posted here about ten days ago.
I was about to post something else today but i finally thought that this one would be perfect for the first day of winter.
Did i say winter ? Hum, for more than one week, weather here is (relatively) hot and loudly rainy.

Another image from this morning i spent in the snow about 10 days ago.

I left home in the early morning under a white sky after a snowy night.
After a short walk in the deep fresh snow, i arrived in the vineyards. While i was trying to find some interesting points of view without leaving too much footprints in the landscape, the sun shortly popped through the clouds and lit the field with this beautiful light.
I just had the time to make 2 images of this scene : this one and a vertical version.

Today, i woke up before dawn, decided to go for a photographic hike on Vuache mountain.

After a few steps in my garden, i had to change my mind : snow was higher than my knees and climbing the mountain was not the best idea. So, i went for a walk in my close neighborhood. After somes images of snow over the meadows, trees and vineyards, i took my longer lens and turned it to the hill of Musièges village.

Winter is not officialy here but we have some nice snow falls here for about one week.
I just needed a little jump out of the house this afternoon for this new image to add to my ongoing serie about the rural landscapes around my home.

An image from today, in this "secret place" i discovered in february along Fornant river.
I returned there this afternoon, expecting some colorful autumn leaves on the white rocks over the green water. Unfortunately, they were really rare and i spent a few times making some wide views of the river (like this one) and some closer ones of a little waterfall running between the rocks.

About one week ago along Fornant river.

I was not very active here during the past weeks. One of the clients for which i make architecture images about wood made buildings asked me to design an application to show my images on a large multitouch screen in Paris during the next days.
I had in a very short time to choose and buy hardware and software and develop the presentation.

I choose a 46 inches Samsung display with a multitouch overlay from PQ Labs. About software, after a few tries and as i was in a hurry, i went for IntuiFace Presentation. It's a very nice application, really user friendly and which doesn't need any real programmation. It has of course a few limits but it made the job.

Nights are less cold now and i can't continue that work as expected but low temperatures will certainly be back under a short time ...

Some beautiful autumn leaves i found yesterday morning in my garden.
When my wife saw the picture, she thought i had arranged the scene myself, but no, the leaves were really like that.

It looks like that this autumn will be a cold one here in France. For some times we have temperatures around 0 celsius, strong wind and often rain.
This morning i took my camera for a fresh walk in the garden and caught a few closeups of the frosted vegetation.

This new image was done about 15 days after the first one and the colors show by themselves the evolution of autumn during these two weeks.

On thursday, while i was walking through the colza fields in the rural landscape around my home, i found this little pond and thought the shapes and mixed colors of the willow branches could make an interesting image.

Yesterday, we had a rainy and misty morning here. I went for a little walk in the rural landscape around my home thinking the wet atmosphere coud give some nice results with the autumn colors and the colza flowers.

This day, i just made 3 images of the lake before turning my eyes and feet to the forest.
