Tacon river seen from Rochefort bridge in Saint Claude. French Jura.
Another image of a beautiful hike along Chéran river. Not the most easy place to reach but the view worth the effort.

Two days ago i returned to the canyon of Chéran river. That was the first time since i discovered this beautiful place five years ago.
The path to the river is not really easy to find, i lost myself in the forest and finally arrived to a place i've searched but not found 5 years ago.
My previous image of Cheran river was done from a little bridge named Pont de Banges. For this one, i found a little steep path to the rocks overhanging the river under the bridge.
First post here for many months. Some little problems kept me busy far from my cameras during the first part of this year.
Yesterday was my first outing for personal work and i went to visit a part of river Cheran i didn't have photographed before.
Back to autumn with this image of Flumen river and waterfall in Haut Jura Natural Park.
Flumen is a short river running through Haut Jura Natural Park just near Saint Claude.
I went there for the first time past week between two rainy days. The place was dark and wet, the waterfalls were impressives with really strong noise and spray.
Gerbier de Jonc if probably the most famous mountain in Ardèche and this place is the second most visited by tourists in the department. I think this celebrity comes from its special shape and from the sources of Loire river which are just near. Half a million people pay to climb this little mountain every year...
I've posted yesterday my last batch of images from Ardèche on my website, the new and dedicated gallery is here.
Loire river is the longest river in France. It runs during more than 1 000 kilometers from Ardèche department to Atlantic ocean.
Here, near the source it's still a little and wild river running through fields and forest.
Note : For more images and informations about Loire country in center France, you can have a look at Amboise Daily Photo which is one of the many blogs i check every day.
A few weeks ago early in the morning i was driving through Valserine valley. The heavy rains of many days before created a lot of mist and a very special mood.
All my image of this day are here.
This little stream which ends to Valserine river doesn't always run in summer but as july is unusually rainy, this little waterfall was beautiful last week.
These little cabins in the fields are very typical of Massif des Bauges. They where used to keep hay and avoid fire risks in the village.
This image was done a few days ago just near La Compôte village.
When i made this image of Bellecombe en Bauges village, i was standing in some green meadows under a very cloudy sky.
Just for a few minutes, the sun lighted the forest just near and i just had the time to run a little through the fields and make this image.
A closer view of Saint Claude with its cathedral and some old houses.
The cathedral is more than 8 centuries old and has a very long name : Cathédrale Saint Pierre, Saint Paul et Saint André.
The Maison du Peuple that you can see in the foreground is also an old building used today as a cinema. You can read more (in french) about its history here.
