An image from my visit a few days ago in Savoie mountains. More to come next week.
A few weeks ago i was thinking we wouldn't have any mist this autumn. I started to change my mind while doing the image in my previous post but the mist was still a little far. A few minutes later i was just into, for a short time ...
All my photos from this day have been published on my website, you can check them from this page.
For a few days we have some unusual early snow falls here.
I went yesterday morning for a little hike in the rural landscape around my home and went back with a few images.
I like this one with the village but also did some other ones of the trees with their orange leaves covered by snow.
Protected from the sun by the north face, protected from the rain by the overhanging rocks, i found some snow at the end of august, just under the cliffs of Bargy mountain.
That's obviously the vertical version of an image i have posted here about ten days ago.
I was about to post something else today but i finally thought that this one would be perfect for the first day of winter.
Did i say winter ? Hum, for more than one week, weather here is (relatively) hot and loudly rainy.
Another image from this morning i spent in the snow about 10 days ago.
Sun and clouds played during a short time until clouds won.
I left home in the early morning under a white sky after a snowy night.
Today, i woke up before dawn, decided to go for a photographic hike on Vuache mountain. After a few steps in my garden, i had to change my mind : snow was higher than my knees and climbing the mountain was not the best idea. So, i went for a walk in my close neighborhood. After somes images of snow over the meadows, trees and vineyards, i took my longer lens and turned it to the hill of Musièges village.
An image from today.
Winter is not officialy here but we have some nice snow falls here for about one week.
I just needed a little jump out of the house this afternoon for this new image to add to my ongoing serie about the rural landscapes around my home.
A reminder of the very cold 2012 winter we had here.
A winter reminder with this image from march.
Pointe Percée is the highest point of Aravis mountain range with an elevation of 2750 meters.
This image was done from a remote place with a long lens mounted on a APS-C camera. Light was very nice but i had to wait a long time for the wind to stop a little and get something sharp.
Note : you can visit the following link to check all my images of Aravis mountains.
The Aiguille des Glaciers has an elevation of around 3 800 meters.
It's part of Mont-Blanc mountain range but this image was taken from Aravis mountains range.
