Cliff in the NW face of Bargy mountain.
Protected from the sun by the north face, protected from the rain by the overhanging rocks, i found some snow at the end of august, just under the cliffs of Bargy mountain.
I returned yesterday to Massif des Bornes for a hike to a little lake located just at the bottom of Bargy moutain.
After making images of the lake itself, i spent a few time capturing some details of the NW side of the mountain.
This image was certainly not done under an impressive light but i really love the view here.
Bargy mountain is divided in two parts, Petit Bargy you can devine behind the small tree on the left and Grand Bargy in the middle of the frame/
One more image done from the slopes of Andey peak in Massif des Bornes.
The first big cliff is a part of Bargy mountain and i can't remember the name of the three high summits in the background.
Another image i did while walking down from Andey peak in Massif des Bornes.
It was really the end of the day when i stopped to catch the light on this mountain range where you can see from left to right :
An image i did about one week ago when i was on the slopes of Andey peak in Massif des Bornes.
Four days after my first visit to Massif des Bornes, we had one new and short window of correct weather. So i decided to come back and explore some of the mountains above Bronze river.
I drove to Solaison plateau and then hiked to Andey peak. It was a pleasant and easy walk with a very nice view from the top.
The image posted above was done at dusk while i was walking down to my car. Bargy mountain is the large and rocky one you can see on the left of the picture.
