An image from about one year ago of this beautiful waterfall on Bronze river.

I returned there some weeks ago after a few days of storms and strong rain, the waterfall was unrecongnizable and looked like small Niagara falls.

Why so much images of rivers and forest

One more image of the Bronze river from my first explorations in Massif des Bornes area.
Waiting for the light to be good on Dard waterfall, i had a beautiful hike along the river running underwoods in a narrow canyon.
I guess it will be a wonderful place in autumn.

Why so much images about rivers and forest ?

Some may be surprised by the amount of photos here about the french forests and running waters. There are many reasons for this big number of images :

  • I've always loved forest, waterfalls and rivers. So i couldn't imagine my photographic work without them.

  • I've clients for this kind of images working in forest industry so, even on short term, i don't loose my time when i increase my stock with such images and my return on invest is acceptably short.

  • People and business say to be more and more concerned about our natural environment. Forest and rivers are two important keys of this environment and i expect my stock to become more and more valuable.

Last sunrays on Dard waterfall

Last sunrays on Dard waterfall

A new place discovered yesterday.

Dard waterfall or Cascade du Dard is on the Bronze river running through the mountains of Massif des Bornes in Haute Savoie department.

I arrived in the middle afternoon and the light was really too hard on the fall. So, i explored the narrow and underwood canyon lower on the river.

After a nice hike and a few images of the stream, i was back to the waterfall around 7 pm. The sun was still a bit high and i spent the last waiting time looking for the best point of views.

The image posted here was done under the very last sunrays. The contrast between dark trees and clear sky was really high and i thought that HDR could be one of the best solution for this view. So i took a serie of 5 exposures. Back home, i processed them with Picturenaut to obtain the result you can see here.
