Loire river at its first bridge

Loire river at its first bridge

Loire river is the longest river in France. It runs during more than 1 000 kilometers from Ardèche department to Atlantic ocean.
Here, near the source it's still a little and wild river running through fields and forest.

Note : For more images and informations about Loire country in center France, you can have a look at Amboise Daily Photo which is one of the many blogs i check every day.

A beautiful house in Saint Pierreville

A beautiful house in Saint Pierreville

I'm just back from a short holidays in Ardèche department which is a very beautiful place to visit in France if you love nature.
It was a family trip and i didn't want an heavy and annoying equipment so i just took an old Nikon D200, one short zoom lens and a light tripod.
We mostly stayed in the upper part of the department which is the wildest and the most tranquil. Lower part near Rhône valley is really more touristic.

A first batch of images about villages has been published yesterday on my website. A second one about natural places will be posted soon.

Susan May Tell

Susan May Tell is a contemporary american photographer working mostly in black and white. I discovered her work yesterday thank's to Elizabeth Avedon's blog.

You can check her website and read here a very interesting interview about her trip to Appalachia.
