Sisteron is one of the main cities in the Alpes de Haute Provence.
It was on my way on Sunday evening while i while driving back home.
The houses you can see on the image are not in the city (which is in my back). This little village is named La Baume and i don't know if it's a real village or one part of Sisteron.
Sisteron is known for it's old, big and beautiful citadel.
Unfortunately it was not the right hour for making photos of this famous monument.
I could have wait some hours for a night shot but i was still far from home and started to be tired. So you will have to wait that i can return there at a early morning :)
If you're interested in litterature, Jean Giono a famous french writer described this region in many of his books.

A perfect postcard, for sure.. you can sell it to them:) Looks like some rock climbing possibilities too, or have you given that up now that you're a family guy?

In a few days (i hope) i should post the rocks you can devine on the right part of the image. And yes there are climbing possibilities here. I've not really given that up now but that's not the same thing than before :) My wife is probably more motivated than i am :)
