Crêt de Chalam is a mountain between Ain and Jura departments that i discovered about one month ago. It offers a very large and nice view on all the surroundings.
Crêt de Chalam is a mountain between Ain and Jura departments that i discovered about one month ago. It offers a very large and nice view on all the surroundings.
An image from a june trip in the mountains of Haut Jura Natural Park.
It was a beautiful evening on the valley with sun and clouds in the sky. I really love that place, lost between mountains and forests.
Note 1 : I've posted this morning 16 images from this day on my website.
Note 2 : On friday, i discovered and climbed a little mountain behind the ones you can see here. The light was not so beautiful but the view on Jura department was truely amazing. Photos will come soon.
Another view of La Compôte en Bauges.
One more image of this july afternoon in Massif des Bauges Natural Park.
This one was done just a very short time after i left my client, at the beginning of my long drive through the park.
I saw these hay stacks near the road when i was on a pass named Col des Prés. It was not the best time for photography but my stock was short of rural landscapes with hay stacks, so i stopped for a very few images.
I'll soon post more pictures from this day here but i've published the most interesting ones on my website a few days ago. You can have a look here.
Another image from a few weeks ago, during this afternoon on Mont Baron over Annecy lake.
While the others were done with GND filters, this one is the result of a HDR work done with Picturenaut from 2 exposures.
It's free of any filtering artifact and i think it's my fav in the serie.
During the winter, i posted a few images of Aravis massif. This mountain range is cut in two parts separated by a large pass named Col des Aravis between Merdassier and Borderan mountains.
On friday, i was on Mont Baron mountain, waiting for the light on Annecy lake.
The sky was very clear, and looking to the east, i had this beautiful view on Mont Blanc mountain through the Cold des Aravis.
I did this panorama by stitching with PTGui, 6 vertical photos done with a long lens.
One more from friday, still done while walking down from Mont Baron.
During my long time waiting for a correct light i met a very nice couple and we had an interesting and pleasant discussion about photography and the joy of living in a so beautiful region. They were wiser than me and left the mountains before the night :)
Mont Veyrier and Mont Baron are two of the closest mountains above the east coast of Annecy lake.
Viewed from the city, they can look as the same mountain but when you climb them, you can really distinct the two summits.
I went there on friday afternoon. I spent the first hours hiking, looking for interesting points of view.
My most interesting images of the lake were done at dusk while walking down from Mont Baron. This one was the last one, done in really late dusk and after i had a "funny" walk in the steep and dark forest without the head lamp i forgot at home ...
In the background, you can see the mountains of Massif des Bauges.
This image was certainly not done under an impressive light but i really love the view here.
Bargy mountain is divided in two parts, Petit Bargy you can devine behind the small tree on the left and Grand Bargy in the middle of the frame/
One more image done from the slopes of Andey peak in Massif des Bornes.
The first big cliff is a part of Bargy mountain and i can't remember the name of the three high summits in the background.
Another image i did while walking down from Andey peak in Massif des Bornes.
It was really the end of the day when i stopped to catch the light on this mountain range where you can see from left to right :
An image i did about one week ago when i was on the slopes of Andey peak in Massif des Bornes.
Four days after my first visit to Massif des Bornes, we had one new and short window of correct weather. So i decided to come back and explore some of the mountains above Bronze river.
I drove to Solaison plateau and then hiked to Andey peak. It was a pleasant and easy walk with a very nice view from the top.
The image posted above was done at dusk while i was walking down to my car. Bargy mountain is the large and rocky one you can see on the left of the picture.
A winter reminder with this image from march.
Pointe Percée is the highest point of Aravis mountain range with an elevation of 2750 meters.
This image was done from a remote place with a long lens mounted on a APS-C camera. Light was very nice but i had to wait a long time for the wind to stop a little and get something sharp.
Note : you can visit the following link to check all my images of Aravis mountains.
The Aiguille des Glaciers has an elevation of around 3 800 meters.
It's part of Mont-Blanc mountain range but this image was taken from Aravis mountains range.
